Ballistic table for a load

  • gunspec_ammunition_ballistics
  • Builder
  • Read-only

Returns velocity, energy, drop and time of flight at a set of distances for one ammunition load, adjusted for barrel length.

Example usage

  1. 1

    A person asks

    • Show the ballistics of Federal HST 124 grain JHP.
  2. 2

    The assistant calls the tool

    tools/call

Arguments

  • stringrequired

The ammunition load slug, e.g. as returned by a list or search tool.

    Sent as
    {id}
  • number

Barrel length used to adjust muzzle velocity.

    Sent as
    ?barrel_length_mm=
  • string

    Comma-separated distances in metres, e.g. "0,50,100,200".

    Sent as
    ?distances=

Each argument is sent to GET /v1/ammunition/{id}/ballistics as the parameter shown, so the same request can be made to the API directly, with your key, if you want to shape what comes back.
